These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ALTYR platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Service Description

ALTYR provides an AI-powered career platform that includes resume building, ATS optimization, cover letter generation, and career analytics. The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist in creating and optimizing professional documents.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Free Tier: Limited features available at no cost.
  • Pro Plan: $7.99 USD/month (or promotional pricing for pre-registrants) billed monthly.
  • Lifetime Plan: One-time payment for perpetual access to Pro features.
  • Promotional pricing (including pre-registration discounts) is subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase if you are unsatisfied with the Service.

5. Promo Codes

Promotional codes issued during pre-registration are single-use, non-transferable, and have no cash value. Codes must be redeemed at launch. ALTYR reserves the right to modify or revoke promotional offers at any time with reasonable notice.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Your Content: You retain ownership of all resume content, personal data, and materials you upload or create using the Service.
  • Our Service: ALTYR retains all rights to the Service, including its AI models, algorithms, templates, software, and branding.
  • License to Us: You grant ALTYR a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service in any manner that violates our Acceptable Use Policy. Prohibited activities include generating fraudulent documents, impersonating others, or using the Service for illegal purposes.

8. AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI assistants is provided as suggestions and recommendations. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before use. ALTYR does not guarantee that AI-generated content will result in employment or interviews.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ALTYR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of employment opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will achieve specific results.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, you may request export of your data within 30 days.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
